about

This is the Sun's debut CD. In 1991, the band entered the studio and recorded an album with former lead singer, Chip DeClue and drummer Rick Tomlinson. After DeClue and Tomlinson left, the Rose brothers found new lead vocalist Doug Bobenhouse and added Bill Yaeger on drums, Dave Farver on sax, vocals and keys and Jeff Bartholic on lead guitar. This new version of the Sun went into the studio immediately and recorded this debut EP just months before the "Hot Feet for Monkey God" album. "The Happiness" was recorded in two days at St. Louis' Smith-Lee Productions. Included on this download are the original high resolution files from the master plus the long-lost tracks "Six Feet, Everlasting Sea, Raking the Leaves, Color of Sunday and Cycle" are all here. For fans of the band and Tim Rose's songwriting, travel back in time to the nascent days of the Sun and re-read the fable of the Happiness.
